i fell down today.
on the street.
in front of strangers.
note to self: purchase summer commuting sandals that have something resembling treads on the bottom of them, so that when the sidewalks are wet, you don't resemble a three-year-old at an ice skating rink.
good grief.

Yikes! You ok?
oh yeah, i'm fine - it was more embarrassing than anything else :) though my new cream-colored bag did take it on the chin a bit...
Welcome to my life. I do this all of the time. If there is a bump on the sidewalk, or an uneven spot, I will find it. Also, sometimes my ankle just kind of gives way for no reason. Once, I fell twice in a row.
Did people stop to see if you were ok?
People actually usally do here in NYC when I wipe out.
yeah, the three people standing together just outside the doors of an office building asked if i was ok. luckily, there weren't many other people around :)
Been there, done that. A majestic face-plant in the middle of Biscayne Boulevard during rush hour. Thankfully, people were actually stopping for the red light. Book bag, lap top, i-pod, glasses and even shoes went flying. Nobody helped me up, nobody helped me pick up everything. One guy sort of asked if I was OK? No, the bloody stump coming out from the left side of my skirt is swell, and that purple pumpkin on the right? Knees are supposed to look like that. I have a scar that won't fade. Welcome to my life.
ps: love the blog.
