a cold front.
this was the radar around chicago at 9:00 pm last night. i was literally dancing and leaping through the courtyard,
screeching like a howler monkey singing, giddy as a schoolgirl. we got caught in a deluge around 7:00 on our way to dinner, and i could not have been happier. normally, in those circumstances, i am cursing everyone and everything at hand while i get soaked from my feet to my knees and wrestle with my umbrella. but yesterday?
rain = elixir of the gods.
i can breathe in my apartment now! all is right with the world! but i'm still not blow-drying my hair before work. because really, fuck that.

i have refused to blow-dry my hair in two weeks. i'm going for the bo derek in Ten look. Except without the braids. or, um, anything else resembling bo derek in Ten.

east coasters, fear not - the end is nigh. of the heat, that is.
and when it comes, it will be like you've been magically released from a zombie-like state, and you'll be amazed at the ease of tasks like lifting your arms, or climbing a flight of stairs.

I was all ready for this rain last night. no amount of looking out the window or hoping made it show up. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for tonight.
Blow dryer what? I recently made a vow to use this thing you women call a "BlowDryer", and also that snippy looking "StraiGhtener" I got at Target for thirty bucks. Then it got hot.
I always wear my hair up, anyway, so what does it matter.
lol i havent worn my hair down in like a month? much less looked at a blowdryer. it is a really sad scene over here.
yeah my hair has either been in a bun or braids for about a month. Not worth trying to do anything else and having all that hair on the back of my neck is just too much right now. I REALLY hope those thuinderstorms they're predicting for NYC hit tonight!
